Distilled from Folle Blanche grapes in the hills of Lignières-Sonneville in Grande Champagne, this cognac was aged for approximately seventy years in oak cask. Produced using small stills, often operated by travelling distillers, and left completely unreduced, it is a spirit of real depth and complexity that speaks of another era entirely. The porous Cognacian chalk of the region allows vine roots to penetrate deeply, contributing to the concentration and structure found in this exceptional nineteenth century cognac.
