IWSC 2019 – Gold Outstanding Award
Surprisingly light in colour for a cognac aged over fifty years, but do not be misled. This is a powerful, spice-driven spirit from the chalky slopes near Bouteville in Grande Champagne. Aged in old oak barrels for more than half a century, it rewards with remarkable depth, structure and a finish that lingers beautifully on the palate. Crafted from Ugni Blanc grapes grown on Campanian chalk soils and distilled using traditional double distillation in an Alembic Charentais, this is an authentic expression of mature Grande Champagne cognac.
